Every word is true. Who did it?

Last night someone on Via dei Tigli pinched every pie off the windowsills. A whole street of neighbours, each one innocent or a culprit, and every single thing they say is true, even when a culprit says it. Prove who did it.

The long version

The street is a cork board of neighbours, each one a portrait on a polaroid. One is already marked for you, and it has something to say: I have exactly two culprit neighbours, or nobody in my row is innocent.

The file checks every mark. A mark the statements do not prove yet is refused and counted as a mistake, even when it would have been right. That is the whole game: never the right answer, always the proven one.

Pencil notes go on any open card, every statement heard so far is kept in a list, and tapping one lights up every card it talks about.

Nobody lies

A culprit's statement is as true as an innocent's. The difficulty is the reasoning, never the trust.

Four ranks to earn

Rookie streets have twelve neighbours talking about rows. Later ranks add directions and groups.

A daily street

One new street a day, the same for everyone, gentle on Monday and fiendish on Sunday.

A hand drawn street

Every neighbour is an illustrated character, and the board is the cast rather than a grid of tokens.

What this game uses

Nothing yet. Vicini is not published, and its advertising and analytics backends are not wired up, so a build made from it today embeds no third-party services at all. This list fills in when they are, and the Privacy Policy is generated from the same place, so the two cannot disagree.
