You are the police sketch artist. Shade the grid until every number fits and the face you have drawn is the culprit. The evidence decides which numbers you get, and a lying witness hands you numbers that can never fit.

The long version

Somebody painted a curly moustache on the mayor's statue. Somebody else walked off with forty pizzas. Every case is a picture logic puzzle with a culprit inside it, and the numbers along the edges are what the witnesses gave you.

Shade the last square and the pencil drawing comes up in colour. Five faces stand in the line-up and exactly one of them matches. Some differ by a hat, some by a good deal more.

Tap a square to shade it or drag along a row, cross out the squares you know are blank, and undo anything. Numbers turn grey as their runs are accounted for, so the grid keeps its own score.

The true evidence draws exactly one picture by plain line logic, and every lie breaks the numbers. No guessing, ever.

Four ranks, earned

Rookie is ten by ten with every witness honest. Later ranks grow the grid and let a witness argue with the lab.

A cast worth drawing

The witnesses are a hand drawn cast, and every case is a light-hearted caper: painted statues, swapped prizes, missing cake.

Cases without end

Cases are generated rather than counted out, so there is always another face to draw.

What this game uses

Nothing yet. Ritratto is not published, and its advertising and analytics backends are not wired up, so a build made from it today embeds no third-party services at all. This list fills in when they are, and the Privacy Policy is generated from the same place, so the two cannot disagree.
