The long version
Coppia is Italian for pair, which is the whole game. Four board sizes, from a twelve card grid you can finish in a minute to a thirty card one that will make you concentrate.
What you play with is the part that grows. Every board you clear pays coins, and coins buy picture packs: animals, flags, faces, nature, sport. Pick the pack you want before a board, or let the randomiser draw from everything you own, which is a different game entirely once you own four sets.
The pictures are emoji, which means they are the one thing on your phone that already looks right on your phone. It also means they have to be chosen carefully: a character your device has never heard of draws as an empty box, and two different empty boxes look like a matching pair. Every glyph in every pack is checked on a real device before it ships, because a memory game that lies about a match is not a memory game.
